Ni Hao Kai Lan

I believe this character is from a Canadian/American children's television show. I do not know it myselfy, I must admit, but found the colouring page on the Colouring Book website and thought the image was gorgeous. Plus it reminds me of the girl the birthday card is for - my friend's daughter, Lisa, who turned 8 on Saturday - so cute! Anyhow, that was my main reason to use it; coloured with Letraset Promarkers, as usual. Hope you like it.

That's all for me for the moment. Hope you enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday.

Hello Kitty

This card is for my friend's little 3 year old daughter. I kept it very CAS, and used the striking pink colour as a main point of focus. The cute Hello Kitty image is a colouring page from the Colouring Book; I used Letraset Promarkers (Carmine and Ruby mostly) to colour it; the sentiment is computer generated.

Just Married

Hello!
Here's a last minute request for a wedding card. I have used a similar layout and papers from the same collection before (Spring stack, DCWV), and it was a success, so I thought I would repeat it, since time was limited.
Hope you like it.
Are you enjoying the Bank holiday weekend? It's nice to have a bit of family time, isn't it?
There is a bit of peace and quite in the house at the moment so I might be able to post a couple of cards more... :-)

Dude

And the second card for today was made for an older neighbour, who, to be honest, I am not sure is turning 8 or 9 this week! LOL! Anyhow, he is having a party at the weekend to which, naturally, my son has been invited (did I not tell you that there were a lot of social events for my children?!) I used a Polly Pocket colouring image and Dymo labels to give the card a "cool" look. Hope you like it.
Entering this card onto the Sentimental Sundays challenge - Cards for kids
I need to make a couple of more cards this week, all for children's friends, so I'd better put my thinking cap on. At the moment children's cards is all I seem to be making, and when the mojo is not exactly at its brightest point, it feels rather difficult :-(

Happy 4th!

Another card for another young neighbour of ours. Josh turned 4 on Saturday and he had a nice party to celebrate it. (Somebody told me once that my children's social life would be better than mine from a very early stage, and gosh! it is soooo true! My son has birthday parties and playdates every second day... when was the last time that I attended a party??!!)
The image is by Cr8H - cute clown, isn't he? Papers from PaperCraft Inspirations; bunting from Torico; sentiments computer generated.

My friend Snehal just suggested to enter this card to Sentimental Sundays since it a Card for a kid. Thanks, Snehal!

1st of May already!! Just in case I am not around much, have a nice month ;-) I do hope that May brings more sunshine and warmer temperatures by my neck of the woods. I am so sick of rain and cold weather! :-(

Oh, and I am still struggling with the new Blogger interface, still "blind typing" and seeing only half of the screen. I will try with my laptop later, see if it is a problem with the PC....

1st Birthday Card

Good Monday morning to you all. A quick post from me todayThis birthday card is for my cute little neighbour, Ryan, who turned 1 a couple of weeks ago. The image is by Cr8H, coloured with Letraset Promarkers. Hope you like it.
I apologise for the messy post. I just updated my browser to Google Chrome and I can't find my way around!!! So far it feels very awkward and I do not like it! :-( Only half of the screen is visible to me, so it is a case of "blind typing"... my mouse is not working, only the keyboard.... this is not normal, right?! Anyone else experiencing problems with Google Chrome?

Big 4 O

And the last card I made this week was for my partner, who turned 40 yesterday! Happy Birthday, Babe!
I am fully aware it lacks inspiration and a lot of things, and that's being generous! but I was pretty tight for time and I had to come up with something at 6am before he got up! Not a card I am proud of, but that's the way it went!
Sentiment by TLC creations, Martini glass by Wendymade; old man drawing from the net.

Hope you are all keeping well. It has been another quick visit to blogland for me today, we'll see when my mojo is back and I feel like blogging properly again. Til then, all the best! xx

Spiderman Fan

My neighbour asked me to make a card for her nephew, who turns 3 tomorrow and is a massive fan of Spiderman.
Easy theme or what?

Forever Friends

For this second birthday card I used a Forever Friends decoupage sheet. I am not a big fan of either Forever Friends or decoupage to be honest, but I was pretty happy with the final result. (apologies for the dreadful quality of the photo, it was taken at night)

Cool Dude

This is the first of a few birthday cards I have managed to make in the last week. It was for an 11 year old boy; I used a Sans Designs image and Kraft card.
Simple, uh?

Pastels birthday card

You are probably wondering where I have been... Well, I am just taking a little break from crafting, that's all  :-) I haven't had the time, the need or the inspiration, to be honest, for the last month... And today I join the blog world again, just for a bit, to show you a card I made at the weekend. It is for my partner's little niece, who is turning 1 next week.

Da girlz {heart} da boyz

Believe it or not, this IS a Valentine's card :-)
I was not going to bother this year, to be honest, cos I have a lot going on and no much time to craft, but since my son got me a LOVE cushion with his pocket money for the occasion, I thought I just had to make the effort.
Still, it is a different sort of Valentine card in the sense that a) it does not have your usual colours or look b) it is not from me to my partner, but from me and my daughter to my partner and my son - aha! hence the Da girlz {heart} da boyz message.
The image is from Sherykdesigns.com and the papers Jak Heath. Coloured with Letraset Promarkers.
Keeping it monochromatic was a challenge that I enjoyed and I must say I do like the all blue colouring :-)
Onto some challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers - Monochromatic
I Love Promarkers and Simon Says stamp - Love is in the air
Stampavie- Love

Good luck Teacher

This was a request from our neighbours. One of the kids' teacher is leaving the school; this teacher, an English teacher as well as a GAA coach, has been a source of inspiration and trust for both parents and child. The clients already knew exactly what they wanted in the card so I simply put it together.
The papers are Trymgym and PaperCraft Inspirations. The image is a colouring page by KennyK I found on the net, which I coloured with Letraset Promarkers. The sentiments are computer generated.
Onto some challenges:

Newborn card 3

The last of my baby cards is similar to the previous one; the same digital image by TLC Creations was used, and so was the same backing paper, but the layout was altered slightly. I like trying different sketches and I thought it would be nice to move it around a bit :-)
Challenges:
CES - Check it out
Craft us Crazy - Anything goes
POodles parlour - Anything goes

That's all for today
Have a wonderful weekend!

Newborn card 2

For my second card I decided to use this elegant image from TLC Creations. Circle and scalloped Spellbinders, pink pearls and ribbon; sentiment computer generated.
Onto some challenges:
One stitch at a time and Fab'n'Funky - Use a Digi
Diva's by Design - Anythign goes
Stamptacular Sunday - Diamonds or pearls
CES- Check it out
Craft us Crazy - Anything goes
Poodles Parlour - Anything goes

Newborn card 1

This week I was asked to make 3 cards for 3 different newborn babies. Here's my first one.
I used a cute Bugaboo image and coloured it with Letraset Promarkers; green coloured papers, buttons and star pearls from my own stash. The sentiment was computer generated.
Onto some challenges:
Stamptacular Sunday - Diamonds or pearls
CES - Check it out
Cute Card Thursday - Buttons and bows
ABC - In pairs

Christening card

For this card I felt like using embossing folders rather than stamped or digital images. It is for a girl being christened soon. Since I had made a card with pink shades for her when she was born in September I opted for silver and white for her Christening instead.

Challenges:
Moving along with the times - Have a heart
Poodles Parlour - Anything goes
Diva's by Design - Anything goes
