Arts and Crafts room

Today I would like to give your a small peek of my craft room. This is where I craft. It's not a big room but I have enough space for my stash and I love it.

The bookcase is from Ikea (Billy) and I can't recommend it enough. It is great! The ribbon storage I bought in the States a couple of years ago (The Container Store) and it is very practical; unfortunately the last time I was in one of the shops in NY they didn't have it anymore. (Only recently I bought more ribbon storage in Storage4crafts.com, a UK based company; the boxes are smaller, the plastic is more flexible, but they do the job for the moment.)
The cute red and white boxes and the magazine folders are from Ikea too.

The desk is a big oak corner one from Ikea (Galant) and I am delighted with it - robust, spacious, elegant, with room for the computer, the printer and a big working area - exactly what I was looking for. (I already talked about the altered drawers in a previous post).
Thanks for your comments.

Some old birthday cards

Here's a sample of a few orders I received in the past for customised Birthday cards. Feedback is welcome.

I design handmade, customised cards on request - for adults, children, for a special date, anniversary, engagement, wedding, etc. If you would like a card for your loved one, please do not hesitate to e-mail me for information.

Altered Item: drawers

This is another Ikea item I altered a few months ago: the main structure is painted in light green and I used several brands of paper to cover each drawer; the overall look is quite vintage and the colours go well with my crafts room. Hope you like it.

I must say that these are very handy drawers, I highly recommend them. I keep many small crafty tools in them - they are easy to reach, big enough for scissors, knife, glues, rubber, pins, sponges...

Christmas cards 2008

These are some of the Christmas cards sent to friends last year (2008).

I like the simplicity in style; it helps when you are making 40+ cards!

Christmas cards 2009

These are some of the Christmas cards sent to friends this year.

For the closest members of the family, however, I tend to design a more personal Christmas card, usually with a photo; this year the young Picasso of the family draw beautiful Christmas scenes for each card.

Altered item - clock

I bought a -cheap and dull- mantelpiece clock in Ikea a few months ago because the smallest in the family was learning to read the time. Since there were no numbers, which made the actual task of reading the time quite difficult, I altered the clock and gave it a fairly new look.

I used Dot Flourish stamp, by Hero Arts; Black Staz on, and numerical rub ons.

Bugaboo digital stamp

For my first post, I would like to show a quick card I made yesterday with one of the Bugaboo stamps. Witty digital images, ideal for a bit of humour.
