A quick Thank you card

We needed a Thank You card today, so I made something very very quick and simple at lunchtime, while the baby was napping, with papers left from other projects.
And here's what a quick CAS Thank you card looks like :-)
Since it is Thanksgiving season there are a lot of Thank You challenges out there :-)
Card Making Mamas - Be Thankful
Phindy's Place - Thankful
Aud Sentiments - Thank You
Penny's Challenges - Give Thanks
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Giving Thanks
Magical Monday - Use those scraps

Thanks Merci Gracias

Today my card is a Thank you Card which I made with kraft, white and purple cardstock; it is a different style than my usual, but I was happy with the outcome.
(The reason why there are 2 of them is because they were made for the 2 kind paediatrician doctors that we were lucky to meet and be seen by recently.)
I used: kraft, white and purple cardstock; Cuttlebug embossing folder; lilac ribbon, lilac card candy; Rhona Ferrer Swirls stamp; Circle Nestabilities
Some suitable challenges:
Squigglefly - Thanks
Totally Papercrafts - Layer upon layer
Charisma Cardz - Embossing
Karen's Doodles - Emboss it

Thank You Teacher

First year in school is ending next week for my son. This is the Thank You card I made for his teacher, Andrea, who has been an absolute star.
The digital image is by Dulemba, coloured with Letraset Promarkers; I am afraid I can't remember where I got the "World's Best Teacher" ticket from, but it is a free digi offered recently - apologies, printed in red paper and mounted onto cardstock and 3D pads; the alphabet papers is a CD download; the notebook effect paper and font are all created in MS Word; the brown cardstock and the ochre ribbon from my own stash.

Onto some challenges:

Just Scraps: School is out

Stampavie challenge

For today I have selected a card with orange to enter the Stampavie and more challenge of this week. (I am afraid the photo is not great, sorry.)
This is an old card, I made it last spring to thank a very generous couple who looked after me and my family over a weekend; used Spellbinders - Nestabilities scalloped ovals and Shapeabilities Nested Bird; Cuttlebug embossing folders and Ornamental Die cut.
I hadn't realised how much orange I had been using lately in my crafts until I had a browse around my photo folders... interesting, never thought of me as an "orange" sort of girl :-)
Thanks for your comments
