First year in school is ending next week for my son. This is the Thank You card I made for his teacher, Andrea, who has been an absolute star.
The digital image is by Dulemba, coloured with Letraset Promarkers; I am afraid I can't remember where I got the "World's Best Teacher" ticket from, but it is a free digi offered recently - apologies, printed in red paper and mounted onto cardstock and 3D pads; the alphabet papers is a CD download; the notebook effect paper and font are all created in MS Word; the brown cardstock and the ochre ribbon from my own stash.

Happy Birthday, Ballerina!

Given the recent statistics on my blog, 3 posts in 48 hours is defenitely a record! Has my inspiration returned? I wouldn't say that much, more like the need of getting my act together and finishing all those cards and orders in my to-do list... So here's another card, just finished.
This one is for a girl in my son's class, a ballet lover who will turn 6 in a few weeks, but since we will be away I am trying to be super organised (big pat on the back for me!!). I have a bunch of this to make - so many people around us seem to celebrate their birthday in July! And since I won't be taking my stash or tools with me on holidays, all cards and presents need to be ready before June 30th! There's a deadline!
The cute polka dot paper was downloaded; "S" created in Word and handcut; gems from my stash; Stickles; 3D embossing fluid; the sentiment is a digi from Pollycrafts; the ballet girl is an image from Bodil; coloured with Letraset Promarkers.

Any suitable challenges for this card? let's see...
PaperTake weekly - Ice Cream colours (mmmm, strawberry - pink and red)
Busy Beauties - Anything goes
Charisma Cardz - All about bling

Right, what's next in my To-do list? :-)

Cheers to a Great Dad!

This card, more humorous than the one posted yesterday, is for my partner for Father's Day on behalf of me and our son. Since my partner is not a blogger I reckon it's safe posting the card before Sunday. :-)
The Beer Monster image is a freebie from Pollycrafts and I can see myself using it quite often! Isn't it great for male cards?! (coloured with Letraset Promarkers)
So onto some (even more!) challenges with the Man/boy/father theme:
Creative Craft - For the man in your life
E-Dink Digi Stamps - Father's Day
Tanda Stamps - For the Big man

Sit down and relax!

It's Father's Day on Sunday and oh boy- am I late with my cards! I only started with my father-in-law's one (which needs to travel and therefore should already have been on yesterday's post!) this morning, but I am quite happy with the result. God knows that the man needs a day off, put his feet up and relax, so I thought these images from BirdsCards were super suitable.
There seem to be a bunch of challenges this week with man/boy/father theme, so here we go:
Creative Craft - For the man in your life
E-Dink Digi Stamps - Father's Day
Tanda Stamps - For the Big man
Crafty Cardmakers - Cards for Men
CupCake Craft challenge - One for the Boys
Incy Wincy Designs - One for the Guys

Vintage Album (part II and last)

This is my second project finished this week. Another big YAY for me!
I started this vintage album months ago, I even showed a peak of it here, but I hadn't managed to fully complete it until now (I was not sure about the main cover and the title, what system to use to close it, etc.). In the end it was worth the effort, though :-)
This little album (10x10cm, 6 pages decorated on each side)encapsulates and celebrates the life of my late father and has been a long, emotional journey for me, collecting photos and re-living many memories in the process. This is the result, I hope you like it.

I am entering this album to the following challenges:
A Spoon full of Sugar - Celebrations
Tuesday Taggers - It's a Man's world
ABC Challenge - V is for Vintage
Crafts and Me - Distressed
Creative Inspirations - Distressed

Some projects

This week I have managed to finish a couple of projects that were started and left aside...Yay for me!!! :-)
One of the projects was these two cushion covers - a little "thank you" gift for a lady who very kindly gave me some beautiful fabric she had to spare months ago. I thought it would be nice to show her my appreciation by making a couple of cushions that she could use in her own place. The covers were finished ages ago (before Easter probably!) but I never seemed to find the time to make the little flowers to put in the centre. So today, finally the flowers were completed and the little project finished!
Here are the finished cushions and the covers wrapped, with a Thank You Tag. (I opted for a very simple style of cushion covers and very simple flowers in the end as you can see!)
I guess the tag, even though it is also very simple, can enter the All Sorts Challenge of this week :-)
Inkadinkado stamp; Dovecraft Hot Pink Pigment ink; Embossing powder; Circle Nestabilities; silver ribbon from my own stash.

Everything But the Kitchen Sink - sketch 15

The bookmark enters the challenge on One Stitch at a Time - Anything but a card.

Thanks for your feedback.
Have a nice day!

Strawberries

I have been under the weather {and therefore MIA} for most of the week, struggling to make just a couple of Communion cards for orders, checking mail and blogs randomly, all with not much energy...
Today the sun is out :-) and I pushed myself to create a card and enter some challenges.
And among my stash of papers and digital images I came across this yummy paper that I downloaded ages ago and these beautiful Studio Nine Design digital strawberries. I had them even coloured! And then this cute image of this "strawberry girl" from Bodil's Scrapperverden appeared and it all got together in my mind! You see, I love strawberries, and when I say "love" I really mean LOVE! Jokingly I often say that I would sell my soul to the devil for a bowl of fresh ripe strawberries! They have always been my favourite fruit so the images and the paper were just a delicious temptation to play with!
My card enters the following challenges:
Passion for Promakers - Strawberries and cream
Dare u 2 digistamp - Anything goes
Charisma Cardz - Sweet treat
ABC challenge - U for Unused stash (corrugated card, strawberry paper)

7"x7" white base card; all digital images coloured with Letraset Promarkers; Basic red Ribbon from Michaels; corrugated green card and red cardstock from my own stash. I left the card without message but this could be a Birthday or a Congratulations or a Thank you card.
Hope you have a nice weekend!

Baby Girl circle card

I made this little birthday card over the weekend - hopefully the last of my children's birthday cards for a few days! ;-)
The little girl turns 1 so I tried to keep it sweet (with the Forever Friends stamp) and in nice pink tones. I coloured the image with Letraset Promarkers and paper pieced the crown. The balloon stamp is from Hero Arts; gems and ribbon from my own stash.

I am hoping to enter the following challenges:
The Creative Cottage - Circles
CRAFT Challenge - Shaped card
Meljen's Designs - Show us your shape
Whoopsi Daisy - As you like it
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - Bling, bling

Handbag Shaped Card

Believe it or not - I am still working on those children's birthday cards... yeps!
This one, however, felt a bit easier and it was defenitely more fun for me. It is for a 6 year old girl to start with (I find girls' cards easier than boys'); and she is a very girly girl, a little lady who, by the way, I love to bits. So pinks, ribbons, buttons, bows, glitter - all allowed! :-)

Here is my handbag shaped card, simple but very girly as intended!
{It does not contain a stamped image but a sentiment so I hope it is still be OK to enter the following challenges}:
Aifactory- Use Buttons
Creative Cottage - Circles
CRAFT challenge - Shaped card
Crafty Catz - Spots
Totally gorjuss - In Stitches
Sundays with Crissy - Dots
Meljens Designs - Show us your shape

Happy Monday!
